Funny Story - The Broken Key Was All I Needed

I am usually happy when I go out of town on a business trip. Such short getaways give me the chance to break away from my routine. This time I wasn't in the mood. I was under the weather and my cold just got worse during the trip. I was very glad it was time to get back home and not pleased at all to hear that there would be a delay in the flight. I had to wait 4 hours in the airport. The weather was awful and the flight was terrible, too. I was green from head to toe until we landed. At least I got a cab right away and was finally home.

Mid-way home the cab driver stopped the car and told me that he had a flat tire and had to change it. I couldn't believe it! What was wrong with transportation that day?!!! Was it full moon that night? I had no other choice but to step out of the car and wait till he fixed the problem. I think I started turning from green to red from anger - I just wanted to get home. When we finally got to my place, I thought my problems were over! Boy was I wrong!

I couldn't find my keys. “Oh, no! I can't be locked out now”, I said “This can't be happening to me!!!”, but then I found them. Such a relief! I put the key in the door lock and was thrilled that I'd finally step into my home. I guess I turned the key with too much force or it hadn't gone all the way in the keyhole because I found myself holding part of the key and the other half was still in the lock. I just wanted to scream, but tried to remain calm and got the cell out to call Locksmith Palos Verdes Estates.

Needless to say, my phone was hardly charged and I decided to send a message hoping that they will get it and respond back. Two three minutes later, a technician called to ask my exact address and reassure me that he was on his way. Between you and me, I never thought he'd make it. I was sure his van would break down too or something else would keep him from arriving soon, but I guess I had my share of nightmares for one night. He was in my house five six minutes later removing the broken key and making another. He checked whether there was need to repair the lock and was honest enough to tell me that the lock was fine. I couldn't thank him enough for his understanding, speed and kindness!
